6th International Conference on Community Psychology Durban, South Africa 27-30 May 2016

The conference’s four thematic tracks, 1) Knowledge Production and Contestation in Community Psychology; 2) Decoloniality, Power and Epistemic Justice; 3) Community Psychology in Context; and 4) Teaching and Learning in Community Psychology acted to accord representation, voice and space to theories and enactments of community psychology that contribute to robust debate and conversations about the identity and representational forms of community psychology, the critical roles of community psychologists, and the epistemological and ontological diversity present in global enactments of community psychology. An additional track emerged organically during the conference itself; Track X, representing creative disruption, and created by a group of conference delegates, encouraged further reflection, engagement and contributions from conference participants.
